Curry Leaf Chutney

1 1/4 cup fresh curry leaves
10-15 red chillies -(+/- as per heat)
4 cloves garlic
1 inch ginger
Tamarind gooseberry size(adjust to the heat of the chillies)
Coconut 4 pieces
2 tsp oil
Salt to taste

Heat oil in a pan and add red chillies, garlic, ginger, curry leaves, tamarind, coconut and fry nicely.When it cools down, add salt, water and blend it in a blender nicely.Season with 1/4 tsp each of mustard and cumin seeds each if preferred.

this is a very good chutney wise and beauty wise.... it seems it get rids of greying hair...:-)

Pushpa, where do you get curry leaves in SD. I see that they cost an arm and a foot. I love curry leaves in my food. Love the chutney. My mom used to make a thicker version.

That's true Suji,I was lucky to get a good quantity at an Asian store here.We have some really good Asian stores around here,they even have drumstick leaves there occasionally.

Very new to me...i have eaten masala or dry chutney with curry leaves but not this...gr8 colour..i gather from the comments by our fellow blogger that its eaten with dosas....will try it out next time i make dosas.
