1 1/2 cups Cooked n Mashed Green Moong Dal(should not be watery)
1/2 cup Sweetened Coconut
3/4 cup shredded Jaggery
1 - 1 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
1 cup All purpose flour
Oil for frying
Heat a pan and add jaggery to the moong dal in it and keep stirring till the jaggery gets melted,then add the sweetened coconut,cardamom powder and keep stirring till you get a nice thick consistency.Allow it to cool a bit.In the meantime in another vessel add water to the all purpose flour and make a batter that is not too thick nor watery.You can use a blender to mix the flour so there will not be any lumps.Make small lime size balls out of the moong dal mix,dip the individual ball in the batter and deep fry them in hot oil.Enjoy it hot.This is one of my fav diwali sweets
Note: Using a laddle to pour the moong ball with the batter helps.I knew my jaggery did not have any stones in it because I have used it before.If you are not sure make a syrup to avoid stones,strain and then add it to the dal.
