In an electric cooker pan add 1 cup bulgur wheat,a little more than 1/4 cup yellow moong dal,3 1/4 cups water(adjust as per preference) and cook the contents.Halfway into the cooking process add the seasonings and stir well and cook till done.This pongal goes very well with hot chutney.This is a repost.
Seasonings
2 tsp oil
1 tsp crushed ginger,
1 tsp black pepper corns(crushed if preferred)
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp asafoetida
Salt
Curry leaves
