Today I am sharing another dish I make with watercress.This dish is quite versatile and goes well. Watercress is a type of green that can be found in the produce section in grocery stores.It has a peppery taste-not too strong.As like any other green comes with a lot of vitamins and minerals and the goodness of antioxidants.
1 large cooked/baked potato with the skin on - cut in cubes
1/2 - 1 cup chopped watercress
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1-11/2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
1/2 tsp kala jeera
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Salt as per taste
2 tbsp oil
Heat oil in a pan and add kala jeera,onions,salt,turmeric and cook till oions turn translucent.Add the chilli powder stir to blend well,add the potatoes and stir cook for a few mins to blend well.Add the chopped watercress and cook for a few min and stir to blend well all the contents.Enjoy hot with rotis or rice.
Note:I did not add ginger garlic and garam masala because I wanted to keep the flavors of the potato and the watercress.If you prefer you can add ginger garlic and garam masala.
